Nathan Gage Ingram, a young and promising Navy SEAL, embodied the spirit of bravery and dedication, ultimately making the ultimate sacrifice while serving his country. A Texas native with a strong sense of adventure and a desire to protect others, Ingram dedicated his life to serving in the elite ranks of the Navy SEALs.
Ingram was a Special Warfare Operator 2nd Class, a member of the highly respected SEAL Team 3, based out of Naval Base Coronado. He was known for his determination, his positive attitude, and his unwavering commitment to his team.
On January 11, 2024, Ingram and his team were conducting a VBSS (visit, board, search, and seizure) operation in the Arabian Sea to interdict an illegal shipment of Iranian weapons destined for Yemen. During the operation, Ingram fell overboard in rough seas. His teammate, Christopher J. Chambers, jumped into the water to attempt a rescue. Heartbreakingly, both SEALs were lost at sea.
Though his time with them was tragically cut short, Nathan Gage Ingram's commitment to his team and his country will forever be etched in the hearts of his fellow SEALs. They remember him not only for his courage and unwavering dedication, but also for his enthusiasm that brought light and laughter to even the most challenging situations. His ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty serves as a lasting testament to his selfless spirit and the unbreakable bonds of brotherhood within the SEAL community.
