A buyer's guide to every BoneFrog coffee: tier, roast level, origin, and tasting notes for Signature, Tribute, and Premium Special Reserve.
Coffee Education
BoneFrog roasts 16 coffees across four tiers: Signature, Tribute, Premium, and Premium Special Reserve, spanning light to very dark roast plus two Swiss Water decafs. This guide breaks down every coffee currently in the lineup by tier, roast level, and tasting notes, so you can find the bag that fits your morning without guessing.
Most coffee sites hand you a grid of bags and let you sort it out. We would rather you knew what you were picking up before you clicked add to cart. Every BoneFrog coffee carries a tier, a roast level, and a tasting profile, and once you know how those line up, choosing gets a lot faster.
This guide walks the current lineup tier by tier, then closes with a full comparison table and a short FAQ.
How to Use This Guide
Two things determine where a BoneFrog coffee sits in the lineup:
Roast level. Light roasts are brighter and more delicate. Dark roasts are bolder with lower acidity. Medium sits in between. Roast level does not meaningfully change caffeine content, only flavor.
Tier. Signature is our everyday lineup. Tribute blends are named for specific missions, teams, and moments, with a portion of proceeds supporting Naval Special Warfare Foundations. Premium and Premium Special Reserve sit above both, priced accordingly.
Signature Coffees
Signature is the everyday shelf: approachable, consistent, and priced for regular rotation.
BoneFrog Blend is the flagship, a medium roast built to be the easy answer when you are not sure what else to grab. Bold, chocolate-forward, and smooth.
Zenfrog Decaf is a medium roast, full-bodied and rich, Swiss Water processed so the caffeine comes out without any chemical solvent. ZenFrog Dark Decaf is the same process taken to a dark roast, rich chocolate with earthy notes.
Tribute Coffees
Tribute coffees are named for missions, teams, and moments in Naval Special Warfare history. A portion of every purchase supports Naval Special Warfare Foundations.
Goat Locker is our darkest roast, very dark and bold with a slightly smoky, toffee-like edge.
Frogman Blend is a dark roast, bold with semi-sweet chocolate and a smooth finish.
Sons of Valor Blend is a medium-dark roast with baker's chocolate, graham cracker, and earthy undertones.
Irish True is a medium-dark roast, slightly smoky with a toffee-like sweetness that stays smooth rather than sharp.
Spirit of '76 is a medium-dark roast with chocolate and graham cracker notes and a smooth finish.
Navy SEAL Museum is a medium roast, full-bodied with rustic, earthy undertones.
Red White Brew is a medium roast with bright citrus and honeyed caramel notes, finishing buttery rather than heavy.
Extortion 17 is a medium roast, honoring the 30 Americans lost aboard the helicopter of the same name, with semi-sweet chocolate notes and a smooth finish.
Operation 300 is a medium roast, full-bodied with rustic, earthy undertones.
Door Kicker is a light roast, sweeter and more delicate than its name suggests, with brown sugar and caramel notes and a smooth finish.
Premium
Lil' Frog Premium Coffee is a light roast built for a different kind of cup: blueberries and cream, cherry, dark honey, and mango lassi. The most fruit-forward, specialty-grade profile in the lineup.
Premium Special Reserve
Premium Special Reserve is our top shelf, priced above the rest of the lineup to reflect it.
Golden Age is a medium roast with baker's chocolate and toasted graham cracker notes.
The Sisterhood is a medium-light roast, sweet citrus and cocoa nibs finishing smooth.
All 16 coffees are available now, along with K-Cups, bulk sizes, and sample packs, in the coffee collection.
Roast level is not a caffeine dial. Light roast beans are denser and hold slightly more mass by volume, so a scoop-for-scoop measurement can look higher in caffeine. Measured by weight, caffeine is nearly identical across roast levels. Our full breakdown lives in Coffee Terms Explained.
Finding Your Roast
If you already know you like bold and dark, or light and bright, the table above should get you there. If you want the deeper explanation of what separates the roast levels and why, Which Roast Is Best walks through the flavor science.

What is the difference between BoneFrog's Signature, Tribute, Premium, and Premium Special Reserve tiers?
Signature is the everyday lineup, Tribute blends are named for specific missions and teams with proceeds supporting Naval Special Warfare Foundations, and Premium and Premium Special Reserve sit above both in price and positioning.
Does BoneFrog offer decaf coffee?
Yes. Zenfrog Decaf and ZenFrog Dark Decaf are both Swiss Water processed, which removes caffeine without chemical solvents, in a medium and a dark roast respectively.
Which BoneFrog coffee is the boldest?
Goat Locker is our darkest roast, very dark and bold with a slightly smoky, toffee-like edge, making it the boldest option in the current lineup.
What is the mildest BoneFrog coffee?
Door Kicker and Lil' Frog Premium Coffee are both light roasts, the mildest in the lineup. Door Kicker leans sweet with brown sugar and caramel, while Lil' Frog is fruit-forward with notes of blueberry, cherry, and mango lassi.
Because our gourmet coffee is roasted fresh and is a perishable food product, we cannot accept returns or refunds on any coffee purchases, and all sales are final.
