On 08/06/2011, a U.S. CH-47 Chinook helicopter was shot down while transporting a quick reaction force attempting to reinforce an engaged unit of Army Rangers in Wardak province, Afghanistan. The resulting crash killed all 38 people on board: 25 American Special Operations personnel, 5 U.S. Army National Guard/Army Reserve crewmen, 7 Afghan commandos, and 1 Afghan interpreter, as well as a US military working dog. It is considered the worst loss of US military life in a single incident in the Afghan Campaign and the greatest single loss of life ever suffered by the USSOCOM community in its 24-year history. A source from the Navy Special Warfare community described the reaction as “shock and disbelief. There’s no precedent for this. It’s the worst day in our history by a mile.” We honor the loss of our teammates and continue to pray for their families.

    How Much Coffee Do You Need?

    Two scoops per cup. That is the BoneFrog standard. Here is what that means for your household.

    1 Scoop 1 tablespoon, approx. 6 to 10g
    2 Scoops 2 tablespoons per cup
    12 oz bag approx. 22 cups
    How long does a bag last at 3 cups per person per day
    Drinkers 12 oz 2 lb 5 lb Best choice
    1 person 7 days 3 weeks 7 weeks 12 oz, weekly
    2 people 3 to 4 days 10 days 3.5 weeks 2 lb, every 2 weeks
    3 people 2 to 3 days 7 days 2.5 weeks 5 lb, every 3 weeks

    Example: 1 person, 3 cups a day

    A 12 oz bag lasts about one week. Subscribe to 1 bag every week, or 2 bags every 2 weeks to keep a buffer on hand.

    Step up to the 2 lb for fewer deliveries. One 2 lb bag carries a single drinker through about 3 weeks.

    Two people at 3 cups each: go to the 2 lb on a 2-week subscription. One person, fewer deliveries: 5 lb, every 6 weeks.

    Extortion 17 Medium roast organic coffee MADE IN AMERICA 🇺🇸 is excellent and exquisite. I had my coffee with steamed milk nice and frothy. You can always tell great tasting coffee by having it with great quality organic milk. The taste of great roasted coffee always stands out.

    For a medium roast, this blend packs a nice punch! It’s smooth, and has several flavor notes that please my palate. This blend memorializes the worst loss of life in U.S. special forces history. As a veteran myself, I get it. God Bless the families and friends of these heroes.

    I’ve been a coffee connoisseur for 35 years and am amazed of how wonderful this coffee is. Never in my 35 years have had any coffee that is so smooth and doesn’t leave a bitter aftertaste and I’ve had tasted coffees from all over the world.

    I love dark roast so I ordered that. I also make my coffee very strong and drink it black either hot or iced. Well, it’s over 100 today so guess which I chose? Actually I drink iced coffee no matter what the weather. That said, I was impressed with the taste because it wasn’t bitter like so many of the grocery store products. Just a good, clean taste!
    (BTW, I don’t know what the grocery store coffee tastes like as I haven’t used it since I found Bonefrog. I visit a friend once a year to get out of the heat but she serves Folgers and frankly it’s not just nasty but it’s positively disgusting. I am taking my own coffee with the hope that she will taste the best coffee ever and switch.)

    Yes, BoneFrog Coffee offers all blends in whole bean. At checkout, select Whole Bean from the grind options to receive your coffee unground. Whole bean stays fresher longer because the protective outer layer of the bean is intact, allowing you to grind fresh for each brew. A burr grinder is recommended for the best results with whole bean coffee.

    K-Cups

    Yes, BoneFrog Coffee does offer K-Cup pods.

    Returns & Refunds

    No. Coffee is a perishable product, so all coffee orders are final and cannot be sent back. The one exception is a problem with the package itself. If your coffee arrives damaged in transit or the packaging failed, email info@bonefrog-coffee.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the damage and the packaging, and we will make it right.

    Troops Gift Subscriptions

    Yes, BoneFrog Coffee ships to all APO, FPO, and DPO military addresses worldwide through Operation Coffee Care. All packaging meets USPS military mail standards and every bag is vacuum-sealed to stay fresh during extended transit.
