I've been on the search a while now for an attractive mug with some weight to it to prevent tipping over. And the minimum liquid capacity would have to be 16 oz. to accommodate my morning coffee made from a preset Keurig setting + added half-n-half. I'm aware that manufacturers these days list their capacity as reaching the top brim of the cup. But I had already measured what my minimum liquid capacity would have to be before ordering.
So when I saw the Bonefrog Traditional 16 oz. Mug, I knew that was going to be the mug for me. Even though the price was a little steep, I was willing to purchase it for $34.95 because I loved the mug's aesthetics. Plus, I would be contributing to a good cause which Tim's convictions drive him to support.
After receiving the mug, along with a bag of the Frogman Blend whole bean coffee, I measured out exactly 16 oz. of water and slowly poured into to the mug. Well, it turns out that the cup accommodated only 15 oz. before spilling over. And I performed the measurements with 3 different measuring cups which are precise.
So since returns are not allowed, I'll be absorbing the $34.95 cost for a cup I will not be using.
I do like the Frogman Blend coffee; it tastes like a combination of Lavazza Espresso Barista Gran Crema and Pete's Major Dickenson's blend.
My search for a mug continues hoping the stated liquid capacity is correct.
